Dive In: Registration Now Open for 2025 Skipton Swimarathon in Guernsey
Registration is now open for the 2025 Skipton Swimarathon, taking place from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 October.

Guernsey’s largest community fundraising event is back and ready to make a splash.
Registration is now open for the 2025 Skipton Swimarathon, taking place from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 October at Beau Sejour, with swimmers of all ages and abilities encouraged to dive in for a fantastic local cause.
This year’s event is set to raise vital funds for St John Guernsey LBG, helping to enhance their ability to deliver essential first aid training and emergency care services to islanders. The work of St John Guernsey LBG covers all their activities outside of the frontline ambulance service. This means that the community services they provide are not funded by ambulance subscriptions, ambulance fees, or the States of Guernsey. Instead, the charity depends largely on donations and the dedication of volunteers to deliver these public services, including the provision of public event first aid, youth programmes, and their first aid in school programme.
Organised jointly by the Guernsey Round Table and The Lions Club of Guernsey, and proudly sponsored by Skipton International, the Swimarathon is a beloved fixture in Guernsey’s annual calendar. Last year, over 1,800 swimmers took part, collectively raising more than £65,000 for local causes.
Charlotte Dunsterville, Chief Commercial Officer, Skipton International, said:
“We are incredibly proud to continue our support of the Skipton Swimarathon, which brings the community together in such a meaningful way. The event not only promotes health and teamwork, but most importantly, it helps make a tangible difference to the lives of islanders. We’re thrilled to champion St John as this year’s beneficiary as their work is vital, and we know the Guernsey community will rally behind them.”
Swimmers can sign up as individuals, school groups, families or corporate teams, with lanes available throughout the five-day event. Organisers are once again encouraging friendly rivalries between businesses and sports clubs to help spur on the fundraising total.
John Stuart, Chairman of the Skipton Swimarathon Committee, added:
“It’s always fantastic to see how islanders come together to support the Swimarathon, and this year’s cause is especially compelling. St John’s work touches every part of our community, and the funds raised will have a direct impact on their ability to deliver vital services to islanders. Whether you’re a regular swimmer or fancy a fun challenge, now is the time to sign up.”
Teams can register now via www.swimarathon.org, where further details on fundraising and participation are available.
With its unique mix of fun, fitness and fundraising, the Skipton Swimarathon remains one of the island’s most anticipated community events and this year promises to be bigger than ever.
