Skipton Shortlisted in Prestigious National PR Awards

Skipton’s public relations campaign for the Skipton Swimarathon 2021 has been shortlisted by the Chartered Institute of PR as a finalist in its annual PRide Awards.

Skipton’s public relations campaign for the Skipton Swimarathon 2021 has been shortlisted by the Chartered Institute of PR as a finalist in its annual PRide Awards.

The CIPR PRide Awards recognise the outstanding work that's been delivered across the UK in the last 12 months. They give formal recognition of excellence and allow PR professionals to celebrate their achievements. The CIPR PRide Awards are open to any organisation, company or individual connected to, or working within, the public relations or communications industries and whose work was completed within the Awards regions across the whole of the UK.

Skipton’s entry forms part of the South of England and Channel Island region. There is just one other Guernsey finalist in this year’s Awards, and none from Jersey.

Skipton is the headline sponsor of the annual Swimarathon, which is organised by the Lions Clubs and Round Table of Guernsey. Skipton supports with the PR, website maintenance and other operational support.

Campaigns need to be carefully planned, written and targeted, and the success of the annual Skipton Swimarathon is partly due to the research and planning undertaken months in advance, in order to engage with the Guernsey public.”

The South of England and Channel Islands PRide Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 13 October.
