‘Buy-To-Let Lender of the Year’ shortlisting for Skipton International
Guernsey-licensed bank, Skipton International, has been shortlisted for a national award.
The Mortgage Introducer Excellence Awards are highly rated across the UK; Skipton has been shortlisted for ‘The Blacks Solicitors LLP Award for Buy-To-Let lender of the Year.’
The shortlisting stands as an impartial endorsement given the strict criteria, which states: “The Buy-to-Let Lender of the Year nominees should be able to demonstrate that a significant portion of their business is dedicated to delivering buy-to-let mortgage solutions. The winner of this award will be a lender who works side by side with brokers to consistently provide innovative, personalised and flexible lending solutions within the complex buy-to-let space.”
Lorraine McLean, Skipton’s Senior Mortgage Sales Manager, commented:
“Skipton has carved out a niche UK buy-to-let proposition which allows British expats and foreign nationals – including Jersey and Guernsey residents – purchase a UK property for rental purposes. Currently, 62% of our overall mortgage book is UK buy-to-lets and our openness in allowing lending to expats who no longer have a residential UK address is bucking the trend from the high street lenders.
“The whole team is thrilled to have been shortlisted and I am extremely proud of each and every one of them. We look forward to finding out the result at the awards night.”
The Mortgage Introducer Excellence Awards take place on Tuesday 26 November in London.
